COMPORTAMIENTO SEXUAL EN VARONES UNIVERSITARIOS DE DOS UNIVERSIDADES PERUANAS¹

ABSTRACT

A sample of 307 university males, from two Peruvian universities, was studied with the purpose of getting acknowledgment about their sexual behavior. Likewise, it was studied the relation between the sexual behavior and socio-cultural variables: study city, labor activity and religious life. Therefore, a non experimental investigation model was followed, descriptive-correlational type, and it was designed the “Questionnaire about male sexuality”, which contains 28 items and was applied to a non probabilistic sample. The results found indicated that university males have 13 years old like average of masturbation activity beginning; the male friend was the main person they talk about their own masturbation activity. The first sexual intercourse was about the 16 years olds, the highest percent of them had the first sexual intercourse with their girlfriends or an eventual friend. At the moment, less than the half of male universities have girlfriend or partner and close to the third of them said to have had the first sexual intercourse with girlfriend or partner. It was found relation between city of studies and labor activity with respect to variables having partner and sexual intercourse with the partner, but not with masturbation activity and satisfaction of sexual desires. About the religion life variable, there was found relation with having partner, sexual intercourse and satisfaction of sexual desires variables, except with masturbation activity variable.
